Drone Detect ("the app") detects drones in a live camera view. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.
Detection runs entirely on your device. The AI model that finds drones runs locally on your phone. Camera images and video frames are processed on the device in real time and are never uploaded to us, stored on our servers, or transmitted off your device. The app works for detection even with no network connection.
We are building an opt-in feature that would let you voluntarily contribute detection images to help improve the model. This is off by default and no images are shared unless you explicitly turn it on. If and when we launch it, we will ask for your consent in the app and update this policy to describe exactly what is shared and how it is used.
Account information, device configuration, and notification tokens are stored on our servers (hosted on Amazon Web Services). We do not sell your personal information and do not share your data with third parties for their advertising. We use infrastructure providers (e.g., AWS) that help us operate the service.
We retain your account information and device configuration until you delete your account. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below.
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Detection happens on your device and nothing about the camera view leaves it. You can decline the camera permission (detection will not run) and you can decline notification permission (you simply won't receive alerts). You can delete your account at any time by contacting us.
